    of Alcohol

    Hospitality is a large sector of the economy and it’s important you gain all the associated facts around alcohol service. State legislation obliges employers generally to have qualified RSA staff working whilst engaged in the service, sale or supply of alcohol.

    Victorian Commission for Gambling Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) accredited.

    People engaged in the service, sale and supply of alcohol are required to undertake this training program. Learn about problems associated with alcohol and excessive consumption, alcohol and the law, the question of who is responsible for RSA, facts about alcohol, improving the atmosphere of your premises and handling difficult customers

  • Food Safety

    Food can easily make people sick. Develop and maintain a clean and safe culture at workplaces. State legislation obliges employers to have trained food safety handlers working on-site.

    SITXFSA101 – Use hygienic practices for food safety (Food Safety level 1)

    Personal hygiene practices apply to all staff handling food at all levels within hospitality service industries, such as kitchen hands, cooks, chefs, catering staff, food and beverage attendants sandwich hands, café and fast food outlet cooking crew housekeeping and laundry staff, sales people and owner-operator of small business catering operations or retail food outlets.

    Ensure you meet your legal obligations under the Food Safety Standards and service food that is free of hygiene hazards and safe for your customers to consume.

  • First Aid

    Emergency medical incidents are extremely common at workplaces. Having trained staff can make an enormous difference to the response of welfare of your customers until the arrival of medical or other assistance.     HLTAID001 - CPR Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
    (CPR refresher)

    Learn and refresher about Legal and other issues, cultural issues, basic life support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use of an automatic external defibrillator including debriefing and welfare. As part of your on-going First Aid accreditation it is recommended to complete a CPR update every 12 months.

    HLTAID003 – Provide first aid (previously known as senior first aid / level 2)

    This training is applicable to all workers who may be required to provide first aid response in a range of situations at their workplace to staff and customers and is generally the industry standard. Learn about; basic life support (DRSABCD), CPR and AED, shock management, airway management – asthma, chocking, severe allergic reaction, hyperventilation, cardiac emergencies, seizures and convulsions, bleeding and would care, burns and scalds, extremes of heat and cold, musculoskeletal injuries, poisons and toxic substances, bites and stings and abdominal Injuries.

    HLTAID004 – Provide an Emergency First Aid Response
    in an Education Care Setting (Teachers and Carers First Aid)

    This training is applicable to people who generally work within the aged and community care, nursing or teaching/education industries. It applies to educators and support staff working in education or children’s services who are required to respond to a first aid emergency. It incorporates the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.

    Learn about Airway and breathing management, CPR and AED, shock management, medical conditions including diabetes, epilepsy & convulsions, Infection control and First Aid for minor wounds, risk management for asthma and anaphylaxis, anaphylaxis emergency management, asthma emergency management, control of major external bleeding and shock management of near drowning, hyperthermia and hypothermia, burns and electric shock, eye and soft tissue injuries, venomous bites and stings, fractures and spinal injuries, head, chest and abdominal injuries, assessment of the sick and injured, recording vital signs, communicating details of an incident, reporting requirements in education and children’s services, debriefing and evaluation of response to critical incidents.

  • Fire Warden

    Fire Chief Warden (Evacuation)

    Fire destroys lives and businesses. It’s too late to wonder how to respond to an emergency once it occurs. Your team must know what to do before an emergency happens and how to safely evacuate and quickly if required.

    Various state and federal OH&S legislation obliges employers to have trained wardens and marshals staff on-site. (Including relevant equipment must also be on-site and available)

    PUAWER006B Lead an emergency control organisation

    Emergencies are common in the workplace and staff can only conduct a safe evacuation if they have the skills and knowledge in order to establish and respond to emergencies. Your business needs to have an Emergency Management & Evacuation Plan in place.

    This course applies to a wide range of settings where emergencies requiring evacuation may occur. It is relevant for organisation who are seeking to appoint persons to perform a leadership role in workplace evacuations, in particular the roles of Chief Warden or Deputy Chief Warden. It provides skills and knowledge to be able to supervise and coordinate emergency evacuations.

    Learn about; Required Australian standards, preparing and planning for emergencies, developing evacuations plan and procedures, building alarms and communications systems, fire safety procedures, bomb threat procedures, chief fire warden responsibilities, investigating an emergency, coordination of emergencies, briefing emergency services, human behaviour in emergencies and management of post-evacuation activities.

    Emergencies are common in the workplace and staff can only conduct a safe evacuation if they have the skills and knowledge in order to establish and respond to emergencies. This course is suited for organisations who are seeking persons to appoint as Warden.

    Emergency-evacuations may include fire, floor, bomb threat, structural collapse, chemical spills, medical emergency, robbery and threats of intimidation, violence or other accidents.

    Learn about; alarms, and warning/fire systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency evacuation procedures, initiating an appropriate emergency response, fire warden responsibilities and post-evacuation activities.
